The population of the Valley City was 6,826 according to the 2000 census. Location of the Museum: Anniston Museum of Natural History (AMHM) is located in Lagarde Park, Anniston, Alabama (USA), at the junction of Highways 431 and 21. From Interstate 20, exit 185, 7 miles north on Highway 21.

Opening & Closing Time Schedule: Tuesday – Saturday from 10:00am-5:00pm and Sundays from 1:00-5:00pm. Museum is open summer Mondays from 10:00-5:00 and closed on Mondays from September-May.

Museum closure days: Thanksgiving; December 24-25; January 1 and Martin Luther King Day.

Entrance Fees: Anniston Museum is a not-for-profit organization. But Donations are welcome.

Exhibits: The Anniston Museum of Natural History is equipped with seven exhibit halls that display a large variety of natural history, from Africa, the North American wilderness, and 2,000 year old mummies. It showcases more than 400 mounted varieties of North American birds include some rare and extinct species. There are gardens and nature trails even to explore. Outdoor exhibits feature nature walks and live animals in natural environments.
Special Attractions: The Museum offers a variety of programs and events throughout the year, which is liked by varied age groups. There is always something for everyone throughout the year at the Anniston Museum of Natural History.

Museum Description: The National guard Museum is located in Pierre, SD (USA).It displays memorabilia and historical documents relating to the South Dakota National Guard. The Museum showcases military equipment, records, ruins, and memorabilia representing the legacy of the Dakota Militia and Dakota Army and Air National Guard. The task of the National Guard Museum is to obtain, protect, look after, and preserve memorabilia and historical documents relating to the South Dakota National Guard.
